I would definitely recommend these pants for any dog that will need to wear a cone after surgery with you supervising of course.
I measured my dog using the measurements on the site but the pants were not fitting well for my GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer) so I reached out to Moozie Pants. To my surprise I received an email back from the president. She responded quickly and genuinely. She recommended getting the suspenders as well.
I did go ahead and purchase the suspenders and followed her recommendations. Now my 3 year old GSP is resting comfortably in his crate recovering from TPLO surgery.

I was at my wits end because my dog would not keep an e-cone on after knee surgery. I tried 3 different soft e-cones without luck. I ordered the original Mozzie pants because my dog has a long snout. I had to retro fit the pants to make it easier to put on. Difficult to get on a dog that can’t bend her knee and can’t put any weight on surgery leg. Rolled up the pant legs, cut the tail hole larger and viola! Success! No fighting to keep them on and it keeps the surgical site clean and warm where her fur was shaved off (it’s winter). The pants are nicely made with stretchy fabric that does nothing unravel after cutting with scissors. The blue is cute, like denim jeans! One suggestion for the manufacturer- please make a female model without the bulky “tummy” strip. It tends to bunch up and makes it difficult to get the pants on. They resemble men’s briefs with masculine waist band and reinforced crotch:). I’m impressed with the quality and kudos to the ladies who make them! Thank you!

Just wanted to let you know- the pants have helped so much! She is definitely trying to lick her incision on her leg so they are a lifesaver. She is so little that we had to cut a good bit off of the suspenders but we figured out to keep the pants up well we made a loop tie in the front and the back and then used some extra from the suspenders to tie them together behind her shoulders. It really keeps them up well and keeps the suspenders off of her arms. We are using the walking pants during the day so she can potty along with an inflatable collar. At night all she needs are the original solid pants with the suspenders to keep them from coming off.

I absolutely love and recommend these pants for any need. My husky has been scratching/biting her fur off on her back and I went through a cone, a muzzle, and socks and boots for her paws. Some didn’t work and others were just too uncomfortable. I’m so happy I found Mozzie pants, they cover everything perfectly and they don’t prevent her from being herself. 5 out of 5!

These are really great! My dog and I were attacked by a couple large dogs and he sustained many injuries. The surgeon decided to allow a couple in the groin area to remain open (bandages were impossible to keep on). Mozzie pants are perfect. They keep him clean and keep blood off all the furniture and floors. They are a good thickness. They are also easily trimmed to fit his short legs. He needs the suspenders to keep them up. These are the original pants. These are excellent post surgery pants and an alternative to the dreaded cone. He is not crazy about them but they were way better than the cone and he slept much better. They provide full coverage and my vet was happy that we got these. I wish I had ordered them earlier. I ordered the walking pants by mistake first. The walking pants are super cute and allow the dog to do things dogs so on a walk. The original pants must be removed for walks. Our dog is a 26 pound terrier daushund mix and these pants are a medium. I pinned them to his harness in the front and the back. It says you can cut the leg length to fit your dog. I haven’t done that yet because our little guy is creative and I wanted to make sure he could not get to the stitches! I would highly recommend these! They are a very nice soft material that seems like it will hold up well. The owner of the company is wonderful to work with.

These pants are great! My order was shipped right away, and are as shown in the picture. I got them because my dog have a knee surgery and neuter. I’m so glad I have these to use instead of the cone of shame! The only thing that could make these better, were if there were some sort of adjustable tabs (velcro maybe? )that could be tightened up as the materal stretches out. Just like our lounge pants get a bit stretched these do too with wear. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE them. They are great so far. My dog is a Goldendoodle, and has a larger chest area (where you measure), and a very tapered waist. These pants fit, and work great! Do you self a favor and skip the cone and get these!

After our boy’s CCL surgery we tried many ways to prevent him from licking his staples. The cone was tortuous to him and us! We tried the inflatable collar but he was able to lift his leg with the incision past the collar and get it to his mouth. But these pants were a godsend! At first we used the walking pants. We found them very easy to get on and off. But after the first 2 weeks when he was feeling better, he began to be able to get to his wound inside the opening along his underside and lick. We switched to the original full coverage pants which solved that problem. They fit him very well and he seemed oblivious to even wearing them. The regular pants were a little tougher to get on and off him than the walking pants. But it was well worth the peace of mind knowing the incision was protected. Our boy is an 18 lb Lhasa Poo mix with long hind legs and a trim torso. The Small fit him perfectly.

Jules has created a perfect product of any dog owner who needs a quality solution to your dog licking their hind legs. My lab has a hot spot on her knee that she would just not leave alone. I tried so many different solutions with poor results – sour apple spray, anti-lick strips, single leg sleeves, and of course the cone. But having her wear the cone was not a pleasant experience for her and a challenge for me as she would knock items off the coffee table etc. But with the Mozzie pants and suspenders we are both much happier – and her wounds are healing quickly…finally! Unfortunately, my jack russell can still get his back legs out of the outdoor pants due to the cut of them on the inside of the pant leg so I am going to tighten them up with a few stitches. My schnoodle, Charlie, is kind of an itchy dog. Every so often he goes to town on his belly and would give himself hot spots. I got these pants and they worked great keeping him covered and prevented him from having to go to the vet for anti-itch medications. He healed up great, and this saved me money in the long run. He looks so darn cute too! The best things, I think, are that they are easy to put on, you can machine wash/dry them, they are super soft, and they don’t seem to slow him down (he still jumped up on the couch and chased his ball while wearing them). I’ve had the pants now for two months, washed them twice, and they are still soft and nice-feeling. I also had him wear the pants to prevent him from marking at a friend’s house who has a puppy (he is 99% house-trained unless another dog “started it”) and the pants totally caught what would have been a repeat accident. I think they would work for other dogs what may occasionally mark, as they are absorbent and washable. Overall, would definitely recommend! Super cute 🙂

The vet sent us home after surgery with a huge plastic cone. Coconut couldn’t get into his bed under the counter, bashed into the furniture, and left bruises on our knees. These adorable pants were a lifesaver. He was able to get back to his usual self while still keeping his incision safe. He is a 65lb vizsla so his shape doesn’t lend itself to snug fitting pants. I am a foster for Great Pyrenees dogs and I can’t say enough good things about Mozzie Pants. These pants will allow me to let my fosters heal from surgery and adjust to life in a home without the added stress of wearing a cone. As soon as I put my first pair of Mozzie Pants on Elmo, he immediately calmed down and stopped incessantly trying to get around his cone to get at his stitches. Hi Jules! I finally have a few minutes to let you know that I received the pants. I think I did the right thing by ordering the large. It gives him enough room through the haunches, although the waistband is about an inch or so too loose. What happens is that as he moves around, the pants start to slide back. That, in turn, causes the tail opening to drop further down causing his tail to get stuck in a “down” position. So, we added a little velcro to the elastic band to help keep the waist in place and they’re perfect! I LOVE the little dog logo on the band, as well. You’d swear it was a doodle! So happy you had these. : )
